What
Cars
We race 1/10 scale electric Touring Car chassis. 190mm bodyshells are free, to include BRCA legal and any other "road" styles etc
Motors
Either 27T Stock motors, or 27T-equivalent Brushless systems are allowed. 27T Hybrid motors are currently not eligible for Championships - we are reviewing whether to allow bearings in brushed motors.
Current plans are to avoid running separate classes for each motor type, but we'll see how we get on...
See the Brushless info panel on the right for more details on allowed systems.
Batteries
Any capacity NiCd or NiMH batteries are allowed, and are eligible for Championships. Li-Po batteries are now eligible for Championships, but only BRCA approved packs.
Tyres
The Club uses Schumacher Carpet Dragon tyres as the "controlled tyre". These are avaiable for purchase at the club at reduced prices. Any kit slick or road-treaded tyre is allowed, but these generally do not give the grip of the Carpet Dragon. All of these are eligible for Championships.
Foams are not eligible for Championships and we would prefer that they were not used.
SPIKES of any form are specifically banned
Race Timing
The Club provides hand-out programmable transponders for race timing. These require connection to a spare connection on the receiver for power. Transponders are handed back at the end of each evening.
Personal Transponders don't seem to be reliable when used with our timing system.
Marshalling
Drivers are required to marshall immediately after racing, or a deputy provided.
Marshals are expected to marshal as they would want to be marshalled - sympathetically and quickly...
BRUSHLESS SYSTEMS
13.0 and 13.5 Turn brushless systems are spec'd to be equivalent to 27T stock motors, and are therefore allowed for Championships
Rotors
Bonded AND sintered rotors are now eligible for Championships
